My colleague told me about this legendary roastery, of whom the lady owner, Yip used to run a cafe in ara damansara pioneered the roasting and barrista scene for 16-odd years. Made an appointment to visit and dropped in. The friendly barrista, Lawrence introduced me to his medium roasted, fruity blend off one of two hoppers which i had in chilled white format. One of the best i've had - mouthfeel's like a strong tea, you know like a unrippened stonefruit, but with the dinstinctive coffee after-taste and light sweetness. With just the right amount of milk, this is my kind of coffee. Will be back for filtered coffee tasting when i do get invited.

Wonderful place for private event. Owner is an expert of coffee beans. A good place for training as well. We truly enjoy the ambiance and vibes.

The atmosphere is great! The entrance is nicely decorated with leafy plants, making it look like a hidden sanctuary. Inside, the decorations are quaint. There is also a floor below. The service is excellent! Friendly and helpful staff. They take time and effort to explain the coffee and flavours. The coffee tastes good. One have the option to choose a nutty flavour or a fruity one. Both are blends by the cafe. Both are good. They sell coffee beans too, which they roast themselves. I got myself a freshly roasted bag from them, and will very probably get from them more in the future.

A very nice homely feel cafe with good service- staff poured water for us even before we order! Coffee is very good - love the Flat White! They roast the beans on site based on the machines at the entrance. Will try the food next time - according to the story in the menu, their pork & chicken chops are famous too.

First time try out coffee cocktail Definitely beyond my expectation Sweet, strong fragrant of coffee smell and able to feel the after taste of cocktail... Highly recommend you to try it out if you happen to pass by~ Staff are friendly and willing to share their knowledge about coffee. Did manage to spend some time at this place for lunch. Was planning to crown the nice coffee cocktail but this time, the winner definitely goes to stir fry spaghetti roasted pork Not a fans of angel hair but this is something totally different and out of expectation, it blew my mind on how fusion can be done so perfectly. Would strongly recommend you to try it out.

Beans Depot is located in Taipan 1, Ara Damansara. They serve a variety of drinks including special coffee, tea and a Western and Asian food menu including breakfast, mains, pasta, soup, salad, noodles, rice, cake and dessert. Seating is limited upstairs while the basement seating is not particularly large either. The coffee is good and strong especially the cappuccino. The food took some time to arrive after the drinks. The Teriyaki Chicken Chop was good while the Ginger Scallion Chicken Rice and Braised Mixed Mushroom Rice were average. The braised mixed mushroom didn't have much sauce which made the large serving of rice rather dry. All were served with a side of salad on the same plate and the chicken chop came with a choice of fries or mash potatoes. We tried the Combo 19 which is RM 19 with a free drink and upgraded to Latte (add RM 3) and cappuccino (add RM 2). Service was welcoming and polite though serving speed could be improved for the food. A good place for a strong cup of coffee.

Very cozy cafe. I liked the basement seating area which felt like visiting a speakeasy since it was "hidden" downstairs. Rum & Raisin gelato was good. Heavy rum taste, and not too sweet.

This place is a great discovery. Looking at their machines you know these guys are serious about coffee. The number of meritorious certificates they've got on their wall kinda says it all. Having that in mind, their price is reasonable and almost similar to most cafe out there. Usually I'd love to sip through a quality cup of coffee hot and pure but I have had enough caffeine in my blood for the day. So, I tried a sip of my friend's ice blended hazelnut latte instead. Even though the coffee had been added with a lot of "stuff" the coffee fragrance still managed to shine. Kudos to the barista. I'm so glad that I've chanced upon this place. Definitely a place I can see myself enjoying a cuppa.

To tell the truth, I didn’t expect so much as they allowed me to take the dog with me… But I was satisfied with their food and atmosphere. Everyone can be ease with the aroma of coffee there and can enjoy the nice homemade sweets especially tiramisu named ‘Pick me up’ Highly recommend.

Come here for a specialty coffee experience. Sit at the counter to watch the barista brew your coffee. A good selection of single origins to choose from, and a variety of brewing methods (drip, Syphon, nitro, etc). Affogato is good. Walnut cake is a bit dry, but I like it. Simple decoration. There's a private function room downstairs with its own kitchen. Feels like a hidden coffee bar. Very quiet at night.

A great place for specialty coffee and the food looks delicious too (from menu, it was too late for dinner during my first visit). There’s many types of coffees to select. See myself coming back again for the coffee and hopefully able to try the food.

Tucked away at a cozy street next to Jatujak, this café is famous for its coffee because the lady boss has won many certifications and awards. The coffee is good. I’ve always had latte there. Love the latte. I’ve also tried the pork pizza and pork pasta. It’s really cool, and quite nice. When I went there today, though, there was a dirty table, and I had to go all the way in to look for someone who works there who can show me where to sit. I was shown the dirty table and sat down and waited for the table to be cleaned up. My salad order took 20 mins to arrive. There was too much oil in the salad dressing, and the smoked duck wasn’t prepared the way it should be. I’d like to recommend that the smoked duck 1st be seared without any oil, then sliced and serve it. What I had was sliced smoked duck and cooked in oil. They were dry and oily. Added with the extra oily dressing, the whole salad wasn’t healthily appetising. I finished it because I don’t wanna waste food and I don’t have time to order anything else as service was slow. Pls also serve knife with fork so that I can cut my salad leaves instead of a spoon. Perhaps next time I’ll stick to the lunch specials and rice. Or just coffee, which is what they do best.

Cosy environment. You can get freshly roasted beans at Beans Depot. They roast coffee beans in the cafe! Seaweed Soboro is a must try, dessert very nice but not always available. It's a pet friendly cafe too.

Love the coffee here (especially the manual brew) Was a bit annoyed because my orders were screwed up 1) Ordered hot latte but we got iced latte 2) Ordered manual brew coffee but got americano Thank god I asked why my manual brew looks machine-brewed coffee. Another point is that the interior looks a bit outdated and perhaps the owner should refresh it to give a more cafe vibes? But regardless - the coffee is good if you’re looking for cafes around the area.

The go to place for coffee. Wide variety of options for different types of beans if you are going for pour over. All carefully brewed to perfection. It also has great options for coffee beans if you like making coffee at home. There's a roastery here too, beans roasted by Barista Guild judge Food is decent too, with pasta and rice choices.
